Federal Ammunition Allocation Program for 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs

Federal Ammunition has come up with some help to our 4-H projects around the state in response to the ammunition shortage that threatens to temporarily put a halt to shooting in certain disciplines.  Read the following letter from Ryan Bronson with Federal Ammunition.  Follow up with the offer he makes to secure ammunition for your 4-Hers in your county program.  The time frame for this offer is short so don't delay.

From Ryan Bronson:
Youth Shooting Sports Leaders:

We are well aware that many youth shooting sports programs are at risk of closing down because they are unable to obtain enough .22LR ammunition to operate their program. We have made the decision to allocate a significant amount of Federal Champion 510 22LR rounds for approved youth organizations- what equated to a few days’ worth of production for us.  If you have used our Direct Sale Youth program in the past, you will notice that the application and process for this is a little more involved.  This is to try to be as fair as possible, and make sure the recipients of this ammo are legitimate youth programs.

As you can imagine we are extremely busy at this time, so we strongly encourage you to avoid calling and e-mailing us unless it is absolutely necessary.  In  fact, given my schedule this coming month don’t call period. E-mail as a last resort.  Please read everything, and fill out the application fully.  We expect to get hundreds of applications, so getting yours in early will help the process flow better.

You will need to register your local program on the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance directory, found at: http://www.youthshootingsa.com, and send us confirmation that you did so by printing it from the site and including that in the application.

You will need to provide confirmation of your program’s active status by providing some level of proof- the application explains what we are looking for.  Be complete, and provide more info rather than less if you are in doubt.  Independent programs are the hardest to confirm their legitimacy, and if we are in doubt your application will probably be rejected.  Prove to us that the ammo will be used for an educational program, and not end up for sale at a gun show next weekend.

Shot shells are not available through this program, and the youth shot shell program will continue to be unavailable at least through the summer- sorry.

We also would greatly appreciate it if you can help draw traffic to our social media sites.  Like us, follow us, etc.
