San Angelo Inaugural 2013 Junior Trap Shoot
For the first time in San Angelo, Texas FFA and 4H students alike
get a chance to post their name on the first line of the record books at
one of the largest stock shows in the nation as the "First" San Angelo
Trapshooting Champion. Taking place on Feb 15th, 2013 at the San
Angelo Claybird Range (sanangeloclays.com) 12 miles West of San Angelo,
TX on HWY 67. It's watching a focused competitor stand on the field
and match his or her skills against their competition. When these
students take the line it is ONE shotgun and ONE well aimed shell that
determines a "Hit" or "Lost" claybird. At the end of 50 claybirds, the
competitor with the best score wins. In an event where the student's
talent and skills determines their own success, it is not unusual to see
the event's champion using the most basic of competition tools that has
been handed down in the family to a younger generation. Come rain,
snow, sleet, or anything short of thunder and lightning, these shooters
will face the elements and stand on station to compete for the very
first buckle and prizes to be awarded at the 2013 San Angelo Junior
Trapshoot.
Sponsor money donated to this first
event will be conveyed to the contestants as premium prizes to further
the growth of shooting sports competition. If you wish to enter, download the PDF rules and entry forms for this event. Should you have
